In the last two posts, you heard John discussing and uncovering the myths about his framework. In this part, we will look at adoption of Zachman Framework across various industries or regions. Also, what can a CEO expect from Enterprise Architecture team? Is it possible to deliver solution options in 30-45 days cycle? One of the common problem facing most of the enterprise is related to their IT department. Often code champions augur writing code a better short term strategy than Architecture.  Why isn't Enterprise Architecture universal and generally accepted? Do you see EA evolving into an actual discipline like Engineering or Mathematics?  Short...

In this part, John will clarify some of the common mistakes done by practitioners. Such as using BPMN Models as an artifact ( deliverable) inside Zachman Framework Column 2, Row 2? Why it's wrong to compare Zachman Framework with other frameworks in the industry which are being used for doing Enterprise Architecture? When re-skilling has become only way of effective survival, participating in Exclusive workshops like Zachman Certified Enterprise Architect will prove useful. But justifying your attendance and convincing your management about the workshop is seldom an easy task! However to make your job easy, we have collated information that can help management appreciate the tangible benefits. This will help you to communicate the value, cost analysis, event plan to your manager. Modify the information as required. Apart...

It’s has been hectic year as I travelled along with John for the "Zachman Certified Enterprise Architect" Workshops. The most interesting part of such trips is to meet practitioners, business leaders, etc. and learn new aspects of Enterprise Architecture. Every city (Sydney, Washington, Colorado Springs, Green bay, Stavanger, London etc.) brings new set up people and their questions. Every time, I meet participants and they do have some idea of Zachman Framework as the graphic is easily available for download. Unfortunately, most of them have limited insight to utility of framework in real life. In fact, one of the participant, who...
